Appliance repair Contractor license business in texas?

I intend to repair a device the company is, and worry about legal documents. . I heard that a contractor’s license is not required to complete the repair shop equipment. Is there a site or someone I can ask. Please help. Thank you

    here is a link for stuff in texas. You can also just call your local city licensing place and ask them what you need. I know you will need a tax number with the state.
